He did so well! I am very proud of how he just jumped right in (literally!), and wasn't afraid of the new situation, or of being in the water. He is definitely his father's child, and loves the water. It also helps that he gets a lot of practice and encouragement from his daddy and uncle. They both grew up bodyboarding, and LOVE the water. We go to the pool almost every weekend. Dave gets Christopher to do a lot of stuff that I probably wouldn't - just because I wouldn't think to. He's lucky to have a daddy who will pass on something that he loves so much. We get to go to lessons Monday through Thursday, for the next two weeks. Should be fun!
these pictures are really blurry - i didn't have my nice camera, but i wanted to document the occasion anyway. see if you can tell which one is him. :)
christopher was so cute and did so great! he is such a smiley little boy! i loved how excited and happy he was to do everything. i'm hoping by the end of the class, ella will be more brave:) you'd think with my surfer water lovin husband and the fact that we are at the pool at least twice a week, that my kids would be little fishies, but no, too much "holly" in them:)
ReplyDeleteThat is great he jumped right in! Dax did great this time too. I was a little worried he would be shy like last year. It sounds like Christopher has a fun time with his daddy at the pool. Daddies are the best! :)
ReplyDeletecute new blog! i love all the quotes and things! You are such a cute mom with your kids and everything!
ReplyDeleteIt is so fun to see how excited they are for swim lessons. Ethan still sings the songs and plays the games he learned in lessons. If you live in Texas ya gotta know how to swim!

ReplyDeleteI have never had my kids in lessons, but Luke may be one that need them. You'll have to let me know how it all turns out. THank goodness for all the pools around here, it is soo hot
ReplyDeleteKendall had her first day of swim lessons too. A lady in our ward does lessons in her backyard and Kendall is having private lessons by accident. Nobody else wanted the same time slot :) Good for us. Anyways what a brave boy. I love summer!!
ReplyDeleteIt is actually summer at your house, I am jealous! We have warmer weather on the way though. You guys will have to be sure and bring long pants and jackets when you come. You are going to freeze if you don't! Christopher will have to show off his new skills. I can pick out his little blond head right away.
ReplyDeleteMom
That is fun. It is still too cold here to take Brielle to the pool, although it is supposed to warm up I think.
